As the end of year approaches, we are collecting funds for the teacher and staff gifts to show appreciation to all the amazing educators in our childrenâs lives.
In the spirit of togetherness, the PTA and Class Leads at PS20 are inviting families to join in contributing towards a monetary class gift for teachers and staff of PS20.
Donations will be accepted via https://bit.ly/ps20givingpool through Sunday, June 22nd, 2025.
The PTA will then distribute the gifts on behalf of the PS20 community to every classroom & cluster teacher and non-instructional staff individually, such as:
* Main office administration
* Support & related services providers (nurse, therapists, counselors, etc.)
* DOE school aides & PTA assistants
* Facilities & maintenance
* Kitchen staff
* Security & crossing guards
Electronic payments, cash or checks are also accepted - please reach out to PS20 PTA Board at board@ps20.org, or your class lead.
Please understand that contributing is totally optional and anonymous to those receiving. We hope this is a more equitable process for all. Families are welcome to show their appreciation independent of this effort.
Bring your own blankets and chairs for a pizza and popcorn picnic. Doors open at 6:30pm for a sunset screening of âHoney I Shrunk the Kidsâ in the Clermont Avenue Courtyard.
Pizza, popcorn, and cotton candy will be served!
Families can drop off books they've outgrown and select new ones to take home for summer reading!
Bring up to (5) books and take as many as you'd like!

Our amazing teaching artists from the Studio in A School art residency will be back at P.S. 20 leading 4 different art projects. Sara, Pam, Ourania, and Brett are so excited to say hello again! There is an 80 person limit for this event, so make sure to sign up and register today! Students must be accompanied by an adult -- one registration per person.

Friday, I'm in Love...
On May 16, 2025, the PS20 PTA will hold its largest fundraising event of the year: THE LOVE BALL! We invite all parents, guardians, children, teachers, and staff to come to the school gym + cafeteria which will be transformed for an evening of entertainment, dancing, food, and celebration to raise funds for PS20 and spread a little love. Teachers, parents, children, friends, and families -- put on your favorite outfit, dancing shoes, and best energy. and let's groove together for our school!

We ask that you pay what you are able to, bearing in mind that all tickets are tax-deductible donations to the PS 20 PTA, and these donations will fund much-needed initiatives at our school.
